How long have you been shooting?
I am in my 5th year as a professinal photographer.
What education have you had in photography?
In college, I took an entry level photography class for B&W film. Since then, I've attended workshops with VGallery, Jasmine Star, and Lara Jade. Beyond that, any education I've had has been through shooting with photographers I respect, reading about, watching workshops online, asking queations, and practicing photography.
What's in your bag?
I shoot with a Canon 5D Mark II and Mark III.
The primary lenses I shoot with are: 50mm/1.2, 35mm/1.4, 135mm/2.0
How long have you been blogging?
I began blogging in college and this is now my 4th blog! You can still see two of my other blogs in my links! One got deleted...long, sad story : )
Do you ever still do video?
Funny you should ask...something may or may not be in the works! ;)
Where do you go for inspiration?
Oddly, I find inspiration from anything but the medium in which I'm looking for inspiration. What that means is, I never look to wedding photography to be inspired. I'll look to it for education. Rather, what motivates me or gives me fresh eyes is talking to people, listening to stories, downloading a new song, traveling, getting lost, making mistakes, going home, doing something scary, meeting someone new, doing something old. With writing, the NUMBER ONE THING that inspires me is a well-spoken word or phrase. I actually keep a notes document in my phone of words I love or phrases I've heard...nothing makes my heart beat like words. I'll even go as far as reading dictionaries or making up words and giving them a secret meaning...and now, I need to go to therapy. ;)
What apps do you use to edit pictures for Instagram?
I used to have a ridiculous process for editing my iphone pictures...which included VSCO, Whitegram, and Instagram. However, now that Instagram allows more specific editing, I rarely use any apps or filters. If I use filters however, it would be VSCO.
